Rare and elegant Murano glass pendant lamp, designed by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli, produced by the historic Italian company Sothis in the 1970s.
A refined example of Mid-Century Modern Italian design, characterised by a sober, essential shape and the extraordinary quality of the Murano glass craftsmanship.
The diffuser is made of fine pulegoso glass, with a central milky white motif.
The particular workmanship enhances the purity of the spherical shape with a hollow, producing a warm and pleasantly diffused light.
The lamp is in excellent vintage condition. The glass is intact and shows no cracks or chips. The original metal parts show only minor signs of aging, consistent with the item's age, as can be seen in the photographs.
The electrical system is original from the time, only the lamp holder has been replaced.
It is designed for an E27 – 220V bulb. Also compatible with E26 bulbs for the market
US – 110V. Bulb not included.
